Stars to spend = every star earned, minus rewards asked for or given. A request holds its stars until you answer; Not now gives them back. The allowance is separate and does not use stars up.
What a star is worth
Stars count Monday to Sunday. The total shows on the wall's Money screen (behind an adult's PIN) as the week's allowance; nothing is paid automatically. 0 = stars only, no money.
